Bridge Paint Inspector

Modjeski and Masters, Inc. a employee owned bridge engineering and inspection firm is looking to hire two Bridge Paint Inspectors to work in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Qualified application should have a minimum of 3 years repainting structures experience.

Education and License Requirements:

  • NACE or SSPE trained coatings inspectors of any level preferred
  • Must be able to pass a security background check

General Responsibilities/Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Perform visual inspections and prepare inspection reports with recommendations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Physically capable of climbing ladders and stairways, working on narrow walkways and platforms at high elevations, and access equipment to inspect metalwork for proper surface preparation, coating application and document inspection findings
  • Be experienced in visual inspection and in using industry standard gauges and instruments for testing and inspection.
  • Have good command of the English language with good oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Since this will be a field job, the employee will be required to work long hours, 6 days a week to cover all painting contract activities.
